Thanks to our members for helping with or participating with the fundraisers which made this weekend possible of so many of our Moose children. And yes, we must thank Al and Pricilla Reel and the volunteers who went over and beyond to make this an enjoyable summer trip for so many!!

I need to brag on the employees; I hope you all come into a clean and friendly Social Quarters. Our bar staff works hard to make sure you have a good COLD drink when you come out to the lodge; your kitchen staff works to supply you with that special of the day, that Steak or Seafood meal on the weekend. I want to give Thanks to all the employees and hope our membership do also. There are many item at work around the Lodge that goes on day in and out to make sure your visit is a good one.

There are lots of events planned for the 4th and the upcoming visit from the Mooseheart girls and Special Day. All these events take many dollars and volunteers to be a success, so with this said lets continue to show why Marion is a leader in the Moose Fraternity. For those of you who are new to our fraternity let me explain a little more on these events. The Mooseheart girls are orphans that live at Mooseheart; this is what your what part of your membership dues go to support. Each state has a house that they support and the NC House has girls. We have been fortunate enough to raise money for these girls to come down to visit our state. Special Day is a day designed to provide a day of fun for handicap individuals. We have dancing contest, bingo, dunking booths, golf cart rides and much more all done by volunteers. We provided lunch for all in attendance. This will be our 30th year of hosting this event and expect about 500 guest this. Mark your calendar, you’ll be surprised how much you will enjoy this day with us
